Message	car last year (blew up the old motor): Picked up some Prestone Super Radiator Cleaner (the one that says "For Neglected Cooling Systems") and followed the instructions to a tee, using distilled or de-ionized water. I then drained the cooling system, and filled it back up with de-inoized water. Then following the procedure in the Auto-FAQ ( La-Z-Link ) I ended up going through about 12 gallons of water, but by the time I was done, the cooling system was flushing clear.
